Russell has called Southern Colorado home his entire life and has a deep appreciation for the land and culture. The decades of time spent on local ranches, years of mentorship and his continued education in Water Law and Land Use has resulted in Russell being very successful in the local real estate market, where he specializes in Ranches, Large Acreage, and Mountain Properties.

Russell earned the elite Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation from Realtors Land Institute, of which there are fewer than 700 recipients nationwide. His expertise and dedication have been recognized with honors, including the 2021 Colorado Land Broker of the Year and the 2024 Spanish Peaks MLS Broker of the Year and the Peer awarded Certified Land Expert award(s). Russell currently serves as the President of the Colorado Chapter of RLI (Realtors Land Institute), a group that provides expertise, camaraderie and resources that are the foundation for all land professionals to become the best in the business.

His professional success is complemented by a fulfilling family life with their two children, Lillian (13) and Johnny (7), who are growing up with the same appreciation for Southern Colorado’s natural beauty. The family enjoys spending time together at both their Cuchara cabin and small family ranch which serve as a foundation for outdoor adventures and family gatherings.

This multi-generational connection to the land provides Russell with unparalleled insights into the region’s properties, water rights, and unique characteristics that benefit his clients. His understanding of the area goes beyond professional knowledge—it’s woven into his family history and daily life.
